The National Alliance of Student Organisations in Romania (ANOSR) is the national student federation, nongovernmental and non-partisan which, for more than 22 years, has as its’ main purpose the representation of the common interests of students in Romania, defending and promoting their rights and stimulating their participation in the educational, social, economic and cultural life. ANOSR unifies students from 19 university centers from all over the country, from 31 different universities, reaching the number of 115 member organisations, which fight together for the perpetuation of the student movement. Also, the federation legitimately represents students from Romania at the European level, being a full member of ESU – European Students Union, the international structure representing all students in Europe. ANOSR member organizations have been implementing generic projects for the student movement in Romania since 1990. ANOSR is made up of 105 student organizations from the most important universities in Romania, representing over 500,000 students from: Alba Iulia, Arad, Baia Mare, Brașov, Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Galați, Hunedoara, Iași, Oradea, Petroșani, Pitești, Ploiești, Sibiu, Suceava, Târgu Mureș, Timișoara. In its relations with member organizations, ANOSR is based on the principles of transparency and non-partisanship, facilitating the access of any representative and non-partisan student structure to its initiatives. ANOSR also supports their involvement in the decision-making process.
